Traditional lands are located along the banks of the Misema River system NE of Kirkland Lake
Description (Service) Represents the community in all lands and resources initiatives  
  • Liaises with all companies undertaking resource development in traditional Beaverhouse territory including mining developments, forestry projects and hydro electric power projects  
  • Participates in negotiations and agreements with resource developers to ensure Beaverhouse First Nation traditional lands and burial sites are protected  
  • Consults with target groups who have an interest in land and resource issues such as mining 
  • Advises community members on Lands and Resources issues via meetings, website or correspondence  
  • Works with the Housing Department for allocation of land to community registered members who wish to some day build a home or cabin on territorial land
