Description (Service)
  • Responsible for developing programs for community youth to encourage positive cultural identity 
  • Works with health care staff to provide educational workshops and seminars 
  • Liaises with community Elders to provide traditional programs
 
Offers activities and services to promote mental well being and healthy lifestyles including: 
  • Physical activities and sporting events 
  • Youth leadership workshops 
  • Teachings about traditional fishing, trapping and cultural gatherings 
  • Substance and alcohol abuse workshops 
  • Seminars on a variety of issues of particular interest to youth
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4 pm

Eligibility Focus is for youth under 18 years of age but open to all members of Matachewan First Nation
