Description (Service) Provides education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes 
  • Works to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes 
  • Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes 
  • Promotes healthy nutrition through a group cooking class which teaches how to prepare easy, economical meals 
  • Assists individuals in finding appropriate services  
  • Provides referrals to the local Diabetes Clinic and the Northern Diabetes Health Network
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm 
Cooking Class: every second Thu

Eligibility Members of Beaverhouse First Nation living with diabetes or at-risk
