Public Comments If you have experienced violence and require services, you may present at the Health Sciences North (HSN) Emergency Department triage and ask to have the VIPP Nurse On-Call paged. 
 
The VIPP nurse will respond within 30-45 minutes to meet with you to discuss your treatment and forensic options. Assessment is confidential.
Description (Service) Provides 24-hour emergency services to adults experiencing immediate, intimate partner violence and sexual assault
 
These services include: 
  • Evidence collection 
  • Forensic documentation and photography 
  • Initial and follow-up counselling and referral 
  • Medical intervention and prophylaxis
Hours Administration Mon-Fri 8 am-10 pm 
Emergency Service Mon-Sun 24 hours
Areas Served Greater Sudbury
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
The time between the actual incident and presenting to the program should be less than 72 hours
Application Self-referral, or referral by hospital, police or other services
