Description (Service)
  • Provides companionship and support to individuals in need of grief and bereavement support 
  • Recruits and trains volunteers to provide supports and companionship by: 
    • recognizing the uniqueness of the grief journey 
    • refraining from imposing their own spiritual or philosophical beliefs 
    • helping to find useful community resources which may help support the bereavement process
     
    One-to-One Grief and Bereavement Support 
    • Offers one-on-one grief support through volunteer matching
     
    Hearts and Hope Grief Support Group 
    • Offers a six-week program that provides support to individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one 
    • Provides a place where individuals can meet with others and talk about their experiences

Hours Hearts and Hope Grief and Bereavement Support Group: weekly for six weeks

  • Individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one at any time

Application Referrals can be made by anyone, provided the individual consents to the referral
