  • Contact office for list of baby/child items available for short term use; loaned on first come basis 
  • Car seat clinic/inspection dates and times advertised in newsletter and various media sites; certified inspector in attendance at inspections
Description (Service) Functions as a family centre, offering children and their families a place to learn, play and socialize 
  • Offers programs to children at no cost to parents  
  • Provides play centres with toys and materials for children 
  • Offers preschool programs to introduce children to math and reading 
  • Offers workshops on various parenting topics 
  • Answers questions about child's development 
  • Provides links to family services within the community 
  • Participates in various preschool programs with community partners 
  • Loans out items such as baby monitors, high chairs, playpens, strollers and wagons
Car Seat Program 
  • Offers information on purchasing and installing car restraints 
  • Works in partnership with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) to offer periodic car seat clinics and inspections 
  • Provides referrals to the Ignace OPP for certified car restraint inspections  
  • Provides coupons for families who require financial assistance to purchase car restraint
Drop In Playtime
Encourages parents and children to drop in anytime during regular hours to use the play space and learning centres

  • Families in financial need 
  • Eligibility based on various factors including multiple births, income and number of children per family in car restraints 
Parent Workshops and Preschool Programs 
  • Make the Connection has two programs available: for ages 0-1 years old and 0-2 years old 
  • Mother Goose and Gosling is available for parents/caregivers and children up to 36 months of age 
  • Munchkin Music and Movement is available for children 2 to 5 years of age
