Description (Service)
  • Provides educational services and supports to elementary and secondary school students living on-reserve  
  • Coordinates and provides bus transportation for elementary and high school students to attend off-reserve schools in surrounding communities of Terrace Bay and Schreiber 
  • Provides representation on native/aboriginal education advisory committees
 
Post Secondary Student Support 
  • Provides financial support to post secondary students both on and off the reserve only as funding allows 
  • Provides assistance for applying/filling out application forms for colleges and universities
 
Additional services include: 
  • Liaison between parents/schools/school boards 
  • Resource support for all students 
  • Works to acquire funding for the summer employment program for post secondary students

  • Members of Pays Plat First Nation  
  • All school aged children and youth living on reserve  
  • Any individual living on reserve and pursuing further education
 
Post Secondary Student Support Program 
  • All Band members regardless of residency are eligible to apply for assistance if attending a post-secondary institution  
  • Financial assistance may be limited by available funding
Application Post Secondary Student Support Program  
  • Applications for education assistance and returning students available at office or on community website  
  • Deadline to apply for education assistance for fall start date is June 1st; January start date is Oct 15th
