Description (Agency) To co-ordinate identified education and training needs in order to generate opportunities for the economic growth of the communities we serve
Description (Service)
  • Collects and analyzes labour market data to determine supply and demand in the work force 
  • Facilitates community planning in addressing actions that need to be taken to resolve identified shortages in the supply of skills in the labour pool 
  • Either leads or partners with community businesses and organizations to address labour shortages 
  • Promotes effective planning of workforce development programs/services so that qualified workers are available to meet the needs of the local labour market 
  • Works with schools and businesses to help provide students with experiential learning opportunities to expand career options such as job shadowing, co-op placements, apprenticeships, SHSM, guest-speaking at schools, mentoring or workplace tours
Hours Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-4 pm
