Robinson-Superior Treaty
Description (Service) Functions as an employment and training support program 
  • Developed as a result of the Innovations Pilot Project, one of 2 programs established in First Nation communities to address welfare dependency 
  • Focuses on increased independence, addressing barriers faced by clients and improving employment prospects 
  • Provides assistance to students with securing summer employment
 
Offers the following services: 
  • Access to job bank and job board 
  • Computer and Internet access 
  • Employment counselling 
  • Employment support services 
  • Faxing, photocopying and telephone 
  • On-site community training programs 
  • Resource materials 
  • Resources to funding 
  • Resume preparation assistance
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility
  • Members of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg (formerly known as Ojibways of the Pic River First Nation) 
  • Must be between 15-30 years of age to apply for Summer Student employment
