Public Comments Text with 9-1-1 service available in Conmee Twp, Dorion Twp, Fort William First Nation, Fowler Twp, Gillies Twp, Gorham Twp, Jacques Twp, Lake Helen First Nation, Lybster Twp, Lyon Twp, Marathon, Marks Twp, Neebing Twp, Nipigon Twp, O’Connor Twp, Oliver Paipoonge Twp, Pays Plat First Nation, Red Rock Twp, Rossport, Schreiber Twp, Shuniah Twp, Strange Twp, Stirling Twp, Terrace Bay Twp and Ware Twp to enable the deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or speech impaired (DHHSI) community to converse with 9-1-1 call centres using text messaging. You must register for T9-1-1 with your wireless service provider, and you must have a compatible cell phone. T9-1-1 should only be used for emergency situations that require a response from police, fire or emergency medical services
