Description (Service) Operates an emergency shelter and supports for abused women and their children 
  • Offers a 24-hour crisis line 
  • Provides on-site individual and group counselling as well as non-residential counselling 
  • Provides counselling for the children and youth attending the Centre 
  • Encourages women to work on their own needs while at the Centre and to make their own decisions
 
Offers the following programs: 
  • Child and Youth Support  
  • Crisis Support 
  • Transitional and Housing Support

Areas Served Attawapiskat First Nation ; Fort Albany First Nation ; Kashechewan First Nation ; Moose Factory ; Moosonee ; Weenusk First Nation - Peawanuck
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
  • Women who have been physically, sexually, financially or emotionally abused and their children 
  • Any women in crisis
Application Call for information; crisis line available 24/7
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Cree, available upon request
