Description (Service)
  • Operates a shelter for women who have been victims of physical, emotional, sexual or financial abuse, and their children 
  • Provides support to older women who are victims of abuse by a live-in caregiver 
  • Provides confidential counselling, information, guidance and intervention services if required 
  • Operates Brookwood Apartments
 
Offers a variety of programs and services including: 
  • Crisis intervention 
  • Free emergency transportation to shelter 
  • Individual and group supportive counselling 
  • Safety planning 
  • Support to women experiencing elder abuse 
  • Transitional and housing support 
  • Family Court Support Worker Program
Hours Service Mon-Sun 24 hours 
Office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Manitoulin District ; Sudbury District

  • Women without children 
  • Women with their children 
  • Services are available to all women, not just those staying at the shelter
