Description (Service)	Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation Offers residential facilities of 27 occupied houses and one 10-unit apartment building Hosts an annual week-long Youth & Elders' Gathering in August to promote the community and cultural awareness through ceremonies, teachings, traditional medicines and community feasts and events Publishes a community newsletter once every 2 months Offers the following programs and services: Administration (Band Office) Economic Development and Research Education and Training Department Family Support Worker Program Health Services Health Services, Community Health Promotion Worker Health Services, Community Health Representative Housing Department Michipicoten Public Library Operations and Maintenance Volunteer Fire Department Water Treatment Plant
