Agency Services
Description (Service)
  • Functions as a mandated Child Welfare agency within the Nishnawbe-Aski territory that serves both Native and Non-Native families 
  • Delivers a full spectrum of culturally appropriate prevention, early intervention and child protection services to ensure the safety of children and the well being of families
 
Responsible for the administration of the following programs and services: 
  • Adoption Services 
  • Children's Mental Health Services 
  • Child Welfare 
  • Foster Care
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm 
Emergency Service Mon-Sun 24 hours
Areas Served Attawapiskat First Nation ; Fort Albany First Nation ; Kashechewan First Nation ; Moose Factory ; Moosonee ; Weenusk First Nation
Eligibility
  • Must be a resident of one of the member First Nation communities 
  • Services are available for Native and Non-Native clientele

Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Cree, available upon request
