The Food Bank is located at Niigaaniin/Ontario Works in the basement of the Garden River Band Office
Description (Service)
  • Provides non-perishable food items to individuals in an emergency situation  
  • Accepts donations of food items and/or cash 
  • Receives monetary donations from the regular community bingo games
Hours Mon, Wed, Fri 9:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4 pm

All community members residing within the boundaries of Garden River First Nation and in need of food
 
Initial visit requires: 
  • Completion of a confidential intake form 
  • Proof of address such as driver's license 
  • Proof of band membership and status number for each family member 
  • Birth dates for each family member
Application
  • Call for appointment or check-in with Band Office Receptionist 
  • Visits are limited to once per month
