Description (Service)
  • Prevents dental disease in children and promotes good oral health 
  • Provides oral health screening in all schools 
  • Provides mouth examinations, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants and oral health education at the Health Unit clinic
 
Fluoride Varnish Clinics 
  • Provides fluoride to preschool children 
  • Offered to families whether they have dental coverage or not
 
Healthy Smiles Ontario 
  • Covers the cost of regular visits to a licensed dental care provider, such as a dentist or dental hygienist  
  • Covers a full range of preventive dental services including check-ups, cleaning, fillings, x-rays, scaling and more
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Fluoride Varnish: 
  • All children up to 4 years of age
 
Healthy Smiles Ontario 
Children must be: 
  • a resident of Ontario and 
  • a member of a household with an Adjusted Family Net Income (AFNI) at or under the levels shown here
