Description (Service) Programs and services to improve the quality of life for off-reserve Aboriginal people with a focus on social, educational and cultural development 
  • Provides a meeting place for urban Aboriginal people 
  • Provides daily coffee, tea and soup for Centre patrons  
  • Hosts cultural events  
  • Offers meeting space to agencies and community groups on a rental basis
 
Offers the following programs: 
  • Aboriginal Healing and Wellness Program 
  • Aboriginal Health Outreach Program 
  • Akwe Go Program (Youth Services) 
  • Apatisiwin Program 
  • Community Connection Program 
  • Diabetes Program 
  • Food Bank 
  • Life Long Care Program 
  • Wasa Nabin Program 
  • Youth in Transition
Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm 
Some programs Tue-Sat 12 noon-8 pm
Areas Served Dinorwic ; Dryden ; Eagle River ; Machin ; Oxdrift ; Wabigoon Township ; Dyment, Waldhof
Eligibility
  • Open to all with a focus on off-reserve Aboriginal individuals and their families  
  • Membership preferred but not mandatory
Application All programs require an intake assessment and advance registration
Languages English ; Oji-Cree - Staff person, no services provided
