Description (Service)
  • Provides support services for Indigenous women and their families struggling with mental health issues 
  • Aims to help improve Indigenous health and reduce family violence
 
Services and programs include the following: 
  • Assessment, intake screening and early intervention services utilizing both traditional and contemporary methods 
  • Development of treatment and care plans 
  • Mental health counselling, group sharing circles and healing circles 
  • Coping and management skills for family members’ mental health needs 
  • Liaising with community professionals/agencies to improve access and utilization of needed services to Indigenous women, their children, and youth
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-12 noon, 1 pm-5 pm

Eligibility Indigenous women and their families suffering from emotional, psychological, or behavioural difficulties
