Description (Service)
  • Helps families develop plans for their children to address concerns raised by child protection services 
  • May be instead of or in addition to court 
  • Assisted by an impartial third party
 
Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) 
  • Brings together family members and service providers, including Child Protection Services, to develop plans that meet needs for safety and well-being of the child(ren) and family as a whole
 
Child Protection Mediation (CPMed) 
  • A mediator works with the family and the Child Protection Services to resolve issues and develop a plan for the child(ren) that addresses the concerns raised by Child Protection Services
