Description (Agency)	A community organization that focuses on employment and training initiatives for Aboriginal people to create a skilled Aboriginal workforce
Description (Service)	Delivers Human Resources Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) related programs and services to members of the participating communities Offers the following services: Client Resource Centre Provides computer and internet access, resume and cover letter assistance, photocopier/fax machine, phone, job board, local/regional newspapers, resource library, TV/VCR, children's play area Employment Counselling Provides guidance, assessment and career planning services Offers training courses that may be purchased by individuals who have identified an employment opportunity and require specific training Employment Start-Up Provides financial assistance to individuals who have been offered a job and require specific work items, including clothes, footwear, safety equipment or occupation specific supplies Wage Subsidy Provides on-the-job training and/or direct work experience Mobility Assistance Provides travel assistance to individuals who are unemployed or underemployed and have a confirmed employment interview Offers relocation assistance based on offer of employment Self Employment Benefits Provides assistance to those starting their own business Disability Supports Provides employment and training supports to individuals with identified disabilities

Eligibility	On or off reserve First Nations members of the nine participating communities or individual based programs Must be unemployed, underemployed, or out of school for 12 months Program must not be eligible for Band Post Secondary funding Demonstrated need for assistance Employment Counselling Individuals must successfully complete employment counselling and an assessment process in order to be eligible for training purchases
Application	Recommendations for referral to a First Nation's Review Committee are based on a successful completion of the Employment Counselling and Assessment Process Requests considered on a first come first served basis and reviewed pending availability of funding Process takes 2-4 weeks and approval must be confirmed prior to starting
