Description (Service)
  • Supports Indigenous women at-risk of homelessness or who are homeless and in danger of losing their children to the welfare system and have a greater risk of conflict with the law 
  • Assists with maintaining existing housing and finding affordable sustainable housing 
  • Strives to improve quality of life for homeless women and mothers and to help achieve a life of stability
 
Family support workers provide the following services: 
  • Advocacy 
  • Aftercare follow up 
  • Assessment and goal setting 
  • Assistance with basic needs 
  • Cultural teachings and healing circles 
  • Education and employment assistance 
  • Group and individual counselling 
  • Referrals and partnering with community agencies
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-12 noon, 1 pm-5 pm

Eligibility Ages: 15 year(s) and up 
 
Indigenous women and their families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have a greater risk of interacting with the criminal justice system
