Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides financial assistance in making modifications to homes and vehicles of people with physical disabilities
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
Areas Served Kenora District ; Rainy River District ; Thunder Bay District
Eligibility
  • Residents of Ontario who have ongoing mobility impairments or their families 
  • No home or vehicle may be purchased using the funding provided by the HVMP 
  • Funding or reimbursement cannot be approved for costs incurred prior to approval of the application 
  • Applicants can access funding one time only for home modifications, except in special circumstances and may access the program for vehicle funding once in 10 years, unless there has been a substantial change in the person's disability 
  • Funding will not be provided to applicants who choose to move from accessible to inaccessible accommodations without an appropriate reason for the move
