  • Functions as a committee that wishes to ensure that Thunder Bay is a good place to grow old 
  • Aims to have Thunder Bay internationally recognized as an Age-Friendly City by the World Health Organization Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities 
  • Aims to convince City Council to declare Thunder Bay an Age-Friendly City
 
Works together to:  
  • create a vision 
  • communicate and educate 
  • support research  
  • disseminate information 
  • establish priorities for action 
  • provide advice to city and community partners  
  • coordinate initiatives to optimize the use of resources
 
Note: Committee includes members of the older adult population along with members of local organizations that support older adults and who are committed to older adult issues
