Description (Service)
  • Assesses and trains individuals wanting to maintain their driving privileges, return to driving, or learn to drive 
  • Assists clients to maintain independence in driving, though some may not succeed due to the impairments from their medical condition
Hours Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm
Areas Served Kenora District ; Rainy River District ; Thunder Bay District
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
  • Individuals with medical conditions that may effect their ability to drive, for example: Stroke, Arthritis, Amputation, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Psychiatric Disorder, Multiple Sclerosis, and other conditions 
  • Passengers with a disability requiring assistive technology or modifications to the vehicle
Application A doctor's referral is required to be assessed at the Driver Rehabilitation Clinic
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Available upon request
Fees Service - Fees apply for clinical and in-car assessment; additional costs apply if training is recommended following the in-car assessment
