Description (Agency) Provides a variety of year-round services to individuals who live with a developmental disability
Agency Services
Description (Service) Provides a variety of year-round services to individuals who live with a developmental disability 
  • Connects individuals with available volunteer opportunities 
  • Connects community agencies with available volunteers 
  • Provides volunteer community members with training in various areas
Offers the following programs/services: 
  • Christmas Cheer Program 
  • Healthy Food Box Program, (partnership with the NWHU) 
  • Supervised Access Program (SAP), which provides a safe, neutral and child-focused setting for visits between a child and non-custodial parent or other family member
Community Integration Service (CIS) 
  • Connects adults with a developmental disability to the community via volunteers with common interests 
  • Accomplished through friendship matches, supported volunteer placements, vacation program, participating in community clubs/courses, organized activities, and public awareness 
  • Activities can include but are not limited to: guys night, bowling, supervising visits, one-on-one work with clients, swimming, Hip club (painting nails), office work, maintenance work, coffee group, special events, weekly/monthly outings, and out-of-town trips
Fee for Service Program 
  • Offers an individualized funded program for recreation and leisure, community participation, respite, and life skills training support 
  • Designed and tailored to the individual's Personal Direct Plan and/or Developmental Services Assessment 
  • Services can be purchased using Passport, Special Services at Home, youth funding, or private funds

To enroll as client:
Requires referral from Developmental Services Ontario (DSO)

To enroll as volunteer:
Requires completed application, signed waiver of responsibility, signed confidentiality form, Criminal Reference Check, three references and an interview
