Description (Service) Responsible for providing community policing services and crime prevention
 
Police services include: 
  • Assistance to victims of crime 
  • Emergency response, including canine tracking and search and rescue 
  • Law enforcement 
  • Public order maintenance (protests and riots) 
  • Providing criminal reference checks; no charge if required for volunteering purposes 
  • Dispatching for Fire Departments in Oxdrift, Machin, Wabigoon, and Sioux Lookout 
  • Offers school tours

  • Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE)
