Description (Service) Coordinates an inter agency group of community members that focus on providing financial assistance to children and youth for participation in recreational activities
 
Ongoing initiatives and projects: 
  • Addressing gaps in services for children and youth in the area 
  • Developing and expanding services available to children and youth in crisis 
  • Establishing a campaign to promote the message of anti violence and positive self esteem 
  • Identifying the need for affordable recreational activities for children and youth  
  • Establishing a central access point to post and announce all activities in Dryden for children and youth

Eligibility
  • Children and youth in financial need 
  • Requires referral from community agency or group 
  • Children are allowed to access 1 long term activity per season 
  • Parents are required to ensure that child attends recreational activity regularly
Application Requires submission of completed application by parents; upon approval of financial assistance by committee, parents can register child in recreational activity
