Description (Service) Provides educational services and supports to elementary and secondary students living on-reserve and eligible post-secondary school students 
  • Provides bus transportation for elementary and secondary school students living on-reserve to attend schools in Fort Frances 
  • Offers tutoring assistance in the evening 
  • Provides a quiet place and use of computers for completing homework; assistance with homework available 
  • Liaises with school staff and parents to enhance students success 
  • Provides eligible special needs children with teacher's aides to assist while the student is attending provincial school
 
Post Secondary Student Support Program 
  • Provides counselling and guidance in choosing post-secondary field of studies 
  • Provides support for applying/filling out application forms for colleges/universities 
  • Provides financial support to eligible post secondary students both on and off the reserve
Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8:45 am-9 pm, Sun 11 am-6 pm 
Tutoring: As requested by students

  • All school aged children and youth living on-reserve 
  • Any registered Band member pursuing further education
 
Post Secondary Student Support Program 
All Band members regardless of residency are eligible to apply for assistance
Application Tutoring and homework assistance available upon request 
 
Post Secondary Student Support Program 
  • Applications for assistance available on website or at office 
  • Deadline to apply for assistance for fall start date is June 1st; January start date is Oct 15th
 
For financial assistance applicant required to provide: 
  • Photocopy of recent status card  
  • Completed post-secondary application package issued by Couchiching First Nation  
  • Letter of acceptance from post-secondary institution  
  • Transcripts from high school and any previous academic institutions  
  • Detailed letter of intent with program information  
  • Copy of voided cheque or bank information  
  • Signed student contract
