Description (Service)
  • Provides community recreational services 
  • Coordinates local community activities including Canada Day and community concerts at the Roberta Bondar Park 
  • Liaises with the provincial and national sport organizations on behalf of local organizations and groups 
  • Allocates and schedules booking times for outdoor sport facilities 
  • Provides a directory of various leisure, recreational, sports activities
 
Alcohol Risk Management Policy 
  • Promotes a range of measures designed to prevent alcohol-related problems at municipal facilities 
  • Requires an agreement to be signed before alcohol can be consumed at municipal facilities
 
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee 
  • Receives written communications and meets with individuals and groups on parks and recreation matters 
  • Reviews requests for changes
 
Operates the following sites: 
  • Roberta Bondar Park 
  • Senior Citizens' Drop-In Centre 
  • Steelton Senior Citizens Centre 
  • Roberta Bondar Marina 
  • Bellevue Marina  
  • Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site
