Description (Service)
  • Provides dental assessments, fluoride application, and sealants for children 
  • Facilitates dental health education presentations upon request
 
Dental Screening for Preschoolers and Moms-to-be 
  • Provides dental assessments and oral hygiene instructions to preschool aged children and expectant mothers 
  • Assists parents to care for the teeth of their very young children  
  • Provides dental health information
 
School Screening Program 
  • Visits and assesses local and district school grade children during the school year  
  • Provides dental cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants and oral health instruction at Algoma Public Health
 
Ontario Works Dental Program 
  • Manages the dental benefits for Ontario Works participants of the District of Sault Ste Marie Social Services Administration Board
 
Healthy Smiles Ontario 
  • Covers the cost of regular visits to a licensed dental care provider, such as a dentist or dental hygienist 
  • Covers a full range of preventive dental services including check-ups, cleaning, fillings, x-rays, scaling and more
