Public Comments Waasodii Omii'e translates to "New Life" or "Light up my Heart for Eternity"
Description (Service) Provides a year-round land-based program available to the 10 Tribal Area First Nation communities

Coordinates and administers healing/wellness programs/services which can include but are not limited to:
  • Aftercare land-based seasonal programming, requested and driven by the community and no longer than 3-5 days
  • Traditional ceremonies and teachings such as sharing circles, full moon ceremony, men's and women's teachings, and Water walks
  • Cultural activities such as moccasin making, quill box making, medicine harvesting, hand drum and rattle making, tobacco making and snaring
  • Native language workshops to learn Anishinaabemowin
  • Counselling services

Areas Served Anishinaabeg of Naongashing First Nation ; Couchiching First Nation ; Lac La Croix First Nation ; Mishkosiminiziibiing First Nation ; Naicatchewenin First Nation ; Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation ; Onigaming First Nation ; Rainy River First Nation ; Seine River First Nation ; Stanjikoming First Nation - Mitaanjigamiing
Boundaries West to Big Island/Big Grassy First Nations, East to Lac La Croix First Nation, South to the US/Canada border, North to Onegaming First Nation
Eligibility Individuals and/or families from any of the 10 First Nation communities in the Fort Frances Tribal Area
