Public Comments St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Fort Frances - Families for Families is a non-denominational group working to sponsor a refugee family to immigrate to the Rainy River District. A bank account has been set up at CIBC in Fort Frances (203 Scott St, P9A 1G8) to receive donations, which can be made directly at the bank. St. Mary's will issue tax receipts for donations of $20 or more upon request. Cheques are to be made out to St. Mary's Church with "Families for Families" on the memo line. Donations can also be made by E-transfer to stmarys@jam21.net. Donations can be dropped off at St Mary's Church Monday to Friday, 9 am to 3 pm. Donation sheets are available at St. Mary's or the Knox United Church office, 340 Church St, Fort Frances, P9A 1E1. For more information, call Kathy Mueller at 807-274-0583

  • Bereavement Group, a time of support for those who have lost a loved one  
  • Catholic Women's League, promotes teachings of Catholic Church, serves in many areas of ministry, holds fundraisers to support ongoing church endeavors 
  • Children's Liturgy, teaches catechism to children 
  • Knights of Columbus, a men's ministry group 
  • Outreach Ministries, provides pastoral care to parishioners who are sick and to the elderly at Rainycrest 
  • Parish Pastoral Councils, offer guidance in church matters 
  • Edge & Life Teen Programs for Youth, provides a prayer group and social time for teenagers
 
Also provides Bear Pass Chapel during the summer months for Mass
