  • Organizes adequate training and skills development opportunities for member communities 
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure that capacity development and strengthening governance activities are relevant and current 
  • Provides training for individual programs such as development of policies and procedures 
  • Provides advisory services for Human Resource management personnel in member communities 
  • Provides assistance to the Finance Department
Workshops and training is provided in areas including but not limited to: 
  • Aboriginal Taxation 
  • Analyzing financial statements 
  • Board of Directors responsibilities 
  • Canadian Human Rights 
  • CMHC Builders Workshop 
  • Developing wills and estates 
  • Investment education 
  • Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point 
  • Running Effective Meeting

Areas Served Couchiching First Nation ; Lac La Croix First Nation ; Naicatchewenin First Nation ; Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation ; Rainy River First Nation ; Seine River First Nation ; Stanjikoming First Nation - (Mitaanjigamiing)
  • Must belong to one of the member First Nations 
  • All workshops are available to employees and leaders of member First Nations and organizations
