Description (Service) Operates an on-reserve school for elementary students from the community 
  • Offers a full curriculum for students from JK-Grade 8; approved and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education  
  • Teaches Native language as a subject course and promotes a sense of pride of heritage 
  • Features science facilities, a library resource centre, a multipurpose area, a gymnasium and health services 
  • Provides outdoor facilities such as playgrounds, soccer and mulitpurpose playing fields, baseball diamonds and a volleyball court 
  • Provides a breakfast and lunch program to students 
  • Provides supervised extra-curricular activities  
  • Offers cultural activities and traditional Native teaching as part of regular programs 
  • Operates on a culturally sensitive schedule that allows students to participate in the fall hunts with their families
 
Financial Awards 
  • Recognizes educational achievements with financial awards to individuals who have graduated from various levels 
  • Includes elementary, intermediate, secondary, post-secondary, trades and other educational institutions
 
Special Education  
  • Provides special education assistance for students with learning difficulties 
  • Strives for maximum amount of integration with regular programs
