  • Functions as a local service club and member of Lions International that supports community projects and individuals in need through volunteerism and fundraising 
  • Provides financial assistance locally and internationally for vision, hearing and diabetes problems and guide dogs for sight impairments 
  • Offers scholarships and bursaries to graduating students from Emo and District as funds allow 
  • Collects unneeded eyeglasses for donating to Lions Eye Bank 
  • Offers medical transportation to individuals in need 
  • Fundraising events include: Rainy River children's projects, Hunter's dinner, Christmas dinner and dance, Polar Plunge and Robbie Burns night, Farmers Night, Sunset Gourmet luncheon and a Community garage sale
