Description (Service)
  • Functions as a service club that supports community projects and individuals in need through volunteerism and fundraising 
  • Provides financial assistance locally and internationally for vision, hearing and diabetes problems and guide dogs for sight impairments 
  • Collects unneeded eyeglasses for donating to Lions Eye Bank 
  • Coordinates 3 main fundraisers which include the Polar Plunge in Jan, a Bail or Jail in May and a Drive-thru Breakfast in Sep 
Provides financial assistance to the following local initiatives (but not limited to): 
  • Digital mammography equipment and other hospital projects 
  • Fort Frances Library technology  
  • Dragon Boat festival
