Description (Service) Provides recreation programs and social events for community members from school aged children to elders 
 
Coordinates and supervises a variety of programs including: 
  • Adult volleyball nights 
  • After-school activities for youth called Latchkey Program 
  • Cultural crafts 
  • Game nights  
  • Group fitness classes such as yoga and zumba 
  • Sports activities such as baseball, basketball, floor hockey 
  • Summer day camps 
  • Youth leadership workshops
 
Also offers: 
  • Memberships for gym use which entitles patrons 24 hour use of gym with a key fob 
  • Gym use for private events 
  • Structured and unstructured activities at the Centre during Professional Development (PD) days at school
Hours Recreation activities: vary monthly, calendar posted on website 
Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-9 pm, Sat-Sun 11 am-7 pm

Eligibility Must be a member or affiliate/employee of Couchiching First Nation
Application
  • Does not require recreation centre membership to use during regular hours 
  • Members younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult 
  • Members 55 years of age and older are free 
  • Private booking arrangements for gym must be made at least 2 weeks prior to required time; prompt cancellation notice is appreciated
