Public Comments Community Emergency Response Committees located in: Atikokan, Dryden, Ear Falls, Emo, Fort Frances, Ignace, Kenora, Minaki, Pickle Lake, Rainy River, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and Sioux Narrows
Description (Service)
  • Provides a 24-hour emergency line to report health hazards or obtain information about a health hazard emergency event 
  • Identifies and investigates potential health hazards 
  • Takes appropriate steps to eliminate and/or decrease the effects of the health hazards to the community 
  • Ensures public health services are delivered during health hazard events 
  • Participates on Community Emergency Response Committees to develop, coordinate and monitor plans for communities to follow in emergency situations 
  • Partners with Kenora Integrated Pest Management Committee (KIPMC) to monitor pesticide use
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm
