Description (Service)
  • Ensures that publicly-funded vaccines are available to health care and medical clinic facilities 
  • Recommends and provides information about required immunizations to individuals travelling to other countries and offers tips on protection against tropical and other diseases 
  • Retains all immunization records in a computerized information system; records are retained until age 28 yrs or 10 years after last visit 
  • Some vaccines that are not publicly funded are available for purchase; cost recovery only, no charge for administering
