Description (Service)
  • Maintains a large database of Community Helpers for Active Participation (CHAP) workers (independent contractors) who are interested in providing respite services for families  
  • Includes general orientation and training  
  • Provides assistance for families in the recruitment, screening and matching of CHAP workers  
  • Services may involve in-home care, community-based social and/or recreational opportunities and/or skill enhancing activities according to the needs and interests of each participant and family
