Description (Service) Plans, supervises and advertises cultural events, happenings and activities for all the communities of Nipissing First Nation 
  • Focus is to restore the language, culture and traditional knowledge of the Anishinaabe ways and values 
  • Coordinates the Annual Traditional Pow Wow 
  • Accepts and considers suggestions for future cultural activities
 
Traditional events and teachings include but are not limited to: 
  • Smudging ceremonies 
  • Feather and fire teaching 
  • Hand drum construction
 
Nipissing Cultural Youth Group 
Coordinates activities for youth such as sports events, cultural gatherings and outdoor adventures
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm 
Youth Group Fri 6:30 pm-8:30 pm 
Cultural event times vary; may include evenings and weekends
