Description (Service) Provides a program focused on assisting on-reserve families to provide the best health and social development for their young children 
  • Strives to meet the emotional, social, health, nutritional and psychological needs of the child 
  • Offers programs that will culturally connect and spiritually root children in the traditional language and history of family, community and Nation 
  • Involves parents, elders and community members as much as possible
 
Provides the following: 
  • A variety of school readiness programs such as learning shapes and numbers, building vocabulary and reading, and "School's Cool" which introduces children to school and bus routines 
  • Blood glucose monitoring and training 
  • Active Parenting Program, which provides support and information about parenting topics 
  • Family drop-in times 
  • Community Kitchen sessions for families cooking together
Hours Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility Members of Nipissing First Nation with children 0-6 years of age who are living on-reserve
