Description (Service)
  • Matches children and adults in one to one mentor friendships 
  • Provides children that are in need of a mentor with the highest quality volunteer-based mentoring programs
 
Volunteers 
Trains volunteers to be mentors to children
Hours Mon-Thu 8:30 am-5:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-4 pm
Areas Served Nipissing District
Boundaries North to Verner, West to Mattawa, South to Sundridge
Eligibility For boys and girls, residing primarily in a single parent home
 
Volunteers 
  • Must be 18 years of age and over  
  • Thorough screening check required
Application
  • Volunteers must complete a screening process that includes application, interview, criminal records check including a vulnerable sector check, reference checks, medical clearance and a home visit 
  • Parents and guardians referring children must complete an application and an interview with a caseworker
