Description (Agency) Provides practical, emotional, spiritual support and respite care to individuals diagnosed with a chronic illness, cancer, or other life limiting illness, and their families
Description (Service)
  • Provides practical, emotional, spiritual support and respite care to individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer, a chronic illness or other life limiting illness, and their families 
  • Supports are provided by the Program Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, and trained volunteers
 
Services provided include: 
  • Friendly visiting 
  • Information including Advance Care Planning 
  • Bereavement support 
  • Palliative care education and information to health care providers
Hours Office: Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4 pm 
Volunteers hours are flexible to meet the needs of clients and families
Areas Served Timiskaming District
Eligibility Individuals diagnosed with a life-limiting illness who are at home, hospital, hospice, or a long-term care home
