Description (Agency) Provides resources for stroke survivors and their caregivers within Northeastern Ontario, sharing the vision for the Ontario Stroke System which is fewer strokes, better outcomes.
Description (Service)
  • Provides resources for stroke survivors and their caregivers 
  • Develops, implements and evaluates initiatives across the stroke care continuum including pre-hospital care, emergency care, acute care, rehabilitation, community, primary and secondary prevention and health promotion 
  • Coordinates stroke-related education programs for regional health care professionals 
  • Includes District Stroke Centres in North Bay, Timmins and Sault Ste Marie
