Nipissing First Nation is comprised of 9 communities across the Nipissing land base; the 3 largest are Garden Village, Duchesnay and Yellek
Description (Agency) Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Nipissing First Nation

Description (Service) Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation 
  • Offers about 40 member-owned businesses including retail sales, restaurant services, 2 construction companies, a fish and meat market, coffee shop and gas bars 
  • Owns and operates Couchie Industrial Park which includes both member and non-member enterprises  
  • Operates an on-reserve fish hatchery 
  • Serviced by air through the North Bay municipal airport 
  • Ambulance services provided by Municipality of West Nipissing Ouest 
  • Offers residential garbage collection for all 9 Nipissing communities
