Description (Service)
  • Provides educational services and supports to elementary and secondary school students living on-reserve and attending school off-reserve  
  • Belongs to the Rainbow District School Board (RDSB) and has representation on the RDSB First Nations Advisory Committee (FNAC) with a current 3-year education service agreement up to Aug 2018  
  • Advises and provides input to the RDSB about matters regarding education programs and services for First Nation students 
  • Provides advisory services for St Joseph’s Anishnabek School 
  • Provides bus transportation for elementary and high school students to attend off-reserve schools including Lakeview Public School and Manitoulin Secondary School in the Rainbow District School Board  
  • Provides counselling and tutoring services to community students in elementary, secondary and post-secondary programs
 
Post Secondary Student Support Program  
  • Provides financial support to post secondary students both on and off the reserve only as funding allows  
  • Provides assistance for applying/filling out application forms for colleges and universities
