Description (Service)
  • Offers services and support to promote the youth in the community  
  • Acts as a voice for the youth and endeavours to improve communication amongst the youth  
  • Serves as a link between the youth and the government of the community 
  • Supports youth in planning and leading community events  
  • Coordinates regular activities and events for the children and youth of the community, often at the Shawanosowe School gym and the Seven Fires Youth & Elders Centre  
  • Encourages attendance at area youth workshops and conferences 
  • Plans and supervises Right To Play Fun nights for younger children and Right To Play Program activities for youth
 
Activities and services can include but are not limited to:  
  • Craft making sessions 
  • Games  
  • Movie nights 
  • Outdoor winter/summer events such as Shiver Fest  
  • Sports/recreation events such as basketball and hockey 
  • Skating Nights 
  • Youth drop-in nights
Hours Health Office: Sep-Jun: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm 
Jul-Aug: Mon-Fri 8 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4 pm
