  • Offers private businesses such as snow plowing, masonry, woodworking, 2 marinas and a campground 
  • Owns Birch Island Construction Company Ltd which is overseen by an independent Board of Directors  
  • Operates the Band-owned Rainbow Lodge 
  • Participates in ownership of the Manitoulin Island Hotel & Conference Centre with five other First Nations and the Great Spirit Circle Trail (GSCT), a Manitoulin-based business that offers experiential tourism packages to people who want to experience First Nations culture 
  • Provides a Public Library 
  • Publishes an online monthly community newsletter called "Rezound" 
  • Hosts an annual Wawaskinaga Traditional Powwow in August at Sunshine Alley
