  • Youth Centre is located at 352A Hwy 551 in M'Chigeeng 
  • Right To Play Community Mentor is Erica Hare
Description (Service) Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all social, recreational and special events for youth of the community 
  • Supports and prepares youth for representation on other committees of M'Chigeeng First Nation 
  • Provides life skills training and information for youth to prepare them for independent living at secondary/post-secondary school 
  • Maintains a Youth Centre which serves as a drop-in centre and allows for program activities 
  • Operates a van for transporting youth to community and out-of-town events
 
Activities, programs and workshops include but are not limited to: 
  • Arts and crafts workshops 
  • Attendance and assistance at conferences such as the 2-day "Inspiring Minds Youth Conference" and "Empower to Change" 
  • Gym nights at Lakeview School 
  • March break activities and events 
  • Music lessons 
  • Out-of-town trips to Espanola for swimming, snowboarding and skiing 
  • Regalia making workshops 
  • Running clubs 
  • Sporting events such as lacrosse and baseball 
  • Winter Carnival activities
 
Right To Play program 
  • Facilitates weekly Right To Play programs and activities to empower children and youth to enhance leadership skills, set and reach positive life goals and to enhance self-esteem 
  • Supports Native culture, identity and community collaboration 
  • Coordinates activities and games at the Youth Centre 
  • Facilitates youth attendance at Right To Play camps and symposiums
Hours Band Office: Mon-Thu 8 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8 am-4 pm 
Right To Play activities: Tue, Thu 5 pm-7:30 pm

Focus is for youth members of M'Chigeeng First Nation but programs can include community families and children
Application Event schedules are posted at Youth Centre, in newsletter, on website and at Post Office
